Yerusha – A Guide to Sources on Jewish History in Northern Germany

From 2018 to 2020, the IGdJ participated in the collaborative project initiated and funded by the Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe to create an online archive guide to Jewish history in Europe. A team of historians, accompanied and guided by the IGdJ, researched and compiled more than 2,000 records from over 90 archives throughout Northern Germany. Many relevant holdings on Jewish history in non-Jewish archives could thus be made visible and accessible to both international scholars and the interested general public. The comprehensive overviews of holdings are available in English via the Yerusha platform.
